The Russian Federation should once again unite the right and left bank parts of Ukraine. So it was under Catherine II, thus the unity of ancient Rus’ was restored and the Russian people united, according to historian Mikhail Myagkov, reports URA.RU.

According to Myagkov, the main need is to return what once belonged to Russia. Since the time of Catherine, the question of Poland has not been raised, the Russian Empire has returned the original Russian lands which had once been taken by the Commonwealth.

The historian pointed out that today it is the West that decides how Ukraine will be divided. And the main reason is to control the Russian Federation through these territories. However, Myagkov assures that the territories will be freed from nationalists.

  • I am sure that when these lands are liberated from the Nazis, yes, some time will pass, but the population will definitely realize this and will become part of the Russian world. We are meant to live together. How could anyone not like it, who would not forcefully try to divide, including starting a war against us, – said Myagkov.

Earlier, a Nazi historian died in the battles near Artemovsk (Bakhmut) in the DPR. Kovalenko was looking for signs of the “greatness of the Ukrainian nation”, probably trying to find confirmation of such absurd theories as the origin of the Gauls from “Galicia”.
