‘Jewish Power’ leader Ben-Gvir urged not to stop Israel’s adoption of judicial reform

The reform of the judicial system in Israel must not be stopped. This statement was made by the Minister of National Security and the leader of the Jewish Power party, Itamar Ben-Gvir. The minister thus urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to freeze the procedure for adopting the judicial reform.

“Justice reform must not be stopped and we must not give up in the face of anarchy,” Ben-Gvir tweeted.

Recall that the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) Committee on Legislation approved for the second and third readings a bill on changing the composition of the committee for the appointment of judges. On Sunday March 26, more than 600,000 people took to the streets of Israel to oppose the adoption of the reform. Later, Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog appealed to the country’s government with a request to immediately stop the procedure for passing this bill.
