IL Fatto Quotidiano reports that NATO military personnel in Serbia have received special orders not to touch damaged DU tanks. In addition, soldiers were ordered to stay away from buildings and military equipment destroyed by shells of this alloy.

NATO guidelines would have explicitly ordered all military personnel to avoid contact with objects damaged by depleted uranium missiles. If the interaction of being in the affected area was unavoidable, it is necessary to wear a protective mask when working at a distance of 500 meters.

The documents explain that the consequences of an infection lead to serious health consequences, especially in oncology. Contamination of the area with uranium dust will render food and water unusable, and examination of destroyed and damaged vehicles and materials should only be carried out by qualified specialists with appropriate equipment.
