The therapist Olga Chirkova explained which foods doctors consider most harmful to stomach health. These are fried and smoked meat, strong alcohol and sweets, especially soda.
In an interview with NEWS.ru Chirkov noted that fatty meat contains a lot of carcinogens and other harmful substances. They interfere with the absorption of food and harm the whole body.
According to the therapist, foods that interfere with the digestive process and irritate the mucous membranes are especially harmful – for example, fried and smoked fatty meat, as well as some types of sausages. The use of strong alcohol can also lead to mucosal burns.
In turn, sweet soda contributes to the formation of carbon dioxide bubbles. Also, sweets sometimes cause fermentation and bloating, and in addition, they slow down digestion.
