In particular, that even with the start of 2035 it will be possible to use internal combustion engines if they are filled with harmless synthetic fuel that does not contain carbon monoxide.

Austrian Energy Minister Leonor Gewessler called the reservation an unfortunate flaw, but was generally optimistic about the document. It would have paved the way for completely exhaust-free transport.

Some experts, in turn, doubt that the decisions made can be implemented without problems on time.
