The Efremovskiy district court in the Tula region sentenced Aleksey Moskalev, the father of a schoolgirl who drew an anti-war cartoon, to two years in prison in a case of “discrediting” the Russian military. Mediazona* reports this from the courtroom.
The sentence was read in the absence of the accused, since he did not appear at the hearing. Court spokeswoman Olga Dyachuk said Moskalev escaped house arrest. Where the man is now is unknown.
His daughter Maria, who was placed in a “rehabilitation center” in Yefremov in early March after Moskalev’s arrest, is transferred to the care of social services. By data msk1.ru, there is an urgent meeting in the shelter.
