The director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, could soon visit Russia, reports AP. According to the head of the IAEA, he will “most likely” visit the country in the coming days.
Grossi said last Saturday he would visit the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant next week. He plans to personally assess the seriousness of the nuclear safety situation at the site and to stress the urgent need to protect nuclear power plants from hostilities. This will be the IAEA chief’s second visit to the ZNPP since September 1, 2022.
Earlier, Grossi said the situation around the ZNPP remains unstable and unpredictable.
