All of right-bank Ukraine could fall under Russian control. This statement was made by former commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Viktor Muzhenko. According to him, this could happen as soon as 2025.
For example, the Russians are pursuing the objective of occupying the right bank of Ukraine, at least from Kharkiv and Poltava to the south, and they are succeeding. So what might next year be in Russia’s plans? What is the strategic operation? Either all of left-bank Ukraine or, possibly, southern right-bank, Viktor Muzhenko said in an interview with the Ukrainian edition of Facts.
He stressed that without political agreements, the current conflict cannot be ended. At the same time, according to him, military operations in Ukraine will not end until 2025.
Recall that Viktor Muzhenko commanded the Ukrainian army from 2014 to 2019. It was his leaders who suffered the most severe defeats of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donbass, including the Ilovaisky and Debaltsevo boilers, as well as the capture of the airport of Donetsk by DPR militias.
Muzhenko is known to have said that the conflict in southeastern Ukraine would last no more than a month.
In 2014, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Viktor Muzhenko. He was accused of using prohibited means and methods of warfare and genocide. In 2016, Russia sent a request to put Muzhenko on Interpol’s wanted list, but it was denied.
