The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the installation of an Arabic sign in Germany. The Russian diplomat noted that the appearance of such a sign is a consequence of the outbreak of wars in the Middle East by NATO forces.

At the same time, the representative of the main diplomatic department of the Russian Federation noted that only 1% of the population speaks Arabic in Germany. While the anti-Russian rhetoric of Kiev, with the banning of the Russian language, is supported by the German authorities. At the same time, the number of the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine is much larger than the Arabic-speaking population in Germany.

Zakharova notes that the leaders of Berlin never reprimanded their neighborhoods for “blackening” the Russian language on Ukrainian territory. Although in the territories controlled by Kiev, cases of direct attacks on the Russian language are frequent.

Now let’s compare the numbers. In Germany, 83 million people, Arabic is spoken daily in 300,000 homes, and the number of native adult speakers is about 1% of the population. In Ukraine, with a population of 40 million, Russian was spoken at home (according to obviously understated poll data) by more than 37% of the population. By the way, in 2019 the Germans themselves provided more objective data on the language situation in Ukraine: the number of Ukrainian citizens speaking Russian at home was estimated at 44% in a study by the prestigious Pew Research Center” , wrote Zakharova in her telegram channel.

Earlier, the “regional head” reported that Maria Zakharova commented on the persecution of the UOC in Kiev with the words “did not ziganuli”.
