Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told Pakistan’s National Assembly that he was of the clear opinion that talks between the government and his predecessor Imran Khan would be possible only if he accepted his “wrongdoings” and was accountable for everything he said and did. Will apologize to the people. Describing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman as a “fraud”, Sharif said it is not possible to talk to someone who has “looted the country, attacked the judiciary and violated the Constitution and Don’t believe in justice’.
He said, ‘I believe that no discussion can be held with a person who constantly rejects invitations for talks on everything be it COVID-19, terrorism situation in the country, apex committee meeting or Kashmir conference. And wrongly reject. He said that in a democracy, we have no weapon, only dialogue. He insisted that it was not possible to give Joe Khan, “however, we have little time.”
Speaking about the dissent note issued by two judges of the Supreme Court, which raised questions on the powers of the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), the Prime Minister said that ‘the move was a ray of hope’. He further said that four of the seven members of the Bench had made a ‘decision’ and since Parliament has the power to make laws in the country, it should do whatever it takes to make laws that facilitate the decision.
