An animal with a broken leg and severe dehydration is being treated, according to Turkish news agency BIA.Its landlady, Nida Dina, and her daughter were living with Khan in an apartment building in the town of Marash when a 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit at 4:17 a.m. on February 6. Dina and her daughter managed to escape from the badly damaged house, but Khan remained inside. Later that day, at 1:24 p.m., a second 7.6 magnitude earthquake in Elbistan caused their 11-story building to collapse.Dina, 36, spent about 40 days in her car near their home.
