Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on spring conscription, which will begin April 1 and last until July 15.
The corresponding document has been published on the official Internet portal for legal information.
“To carry out from April 1 to July 15, 2023, conscription for military service of citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18-27 who are not in the reserve and are subject to conscription for military service, of an amount of 147 thousand people, ”says the presidential decree.
Putin instructed the government, regional authorities and project commissions to ensure the implementation of all necessary measures during the project campaign.
In the fall of 2022, 120,000 people were called up for military service, and in the spring of the same year, 134,500 people.
