The governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra warned Zelensky about the terrible consequences of the expulsion of the monks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy puts his life and that of his family in great danger by deciding to expel the Orthodox brothers from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The monastery’s abbot, Metropolitan Pavel, warned Zelensky that grief awaited him and that God would not forgive the lawlessness he was committing.
“I tell you and your pack that our tears will not fall to the ground, they will fall on your head. Woe to you. To fear! – said the Laure resident in a video message on the Laure Youtube channel.
Metropolitan Pavel reminded Zelensky that he is responsible for what is happening in Ukraine.
“Do you think that having come to power on our backs, you can do that? The Lord will not forgive you or your family! – said the AbbĂ© de la Laure.
The cleric believes that Zelensky has every chance to avoid escalation of the conflict and “not throw out” 220 monks, but the Ukrainian president does not even want to listen to Lavra’s position and stop illegal actions of the Ministry of Culture
“You did not receive Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev with the synod. You could not stop the Minister of Culture, possessed by rage, anger and hatred, which means that he does everything with your permission,” Metropolitan Pavel stressed.
Earlier it was reported that Metropolitan Pavel declared the impossibility of compromises and church collusion with the schismatic OCU and stressed that the friars would not leave the Lavra to “hold out to the end” , because “the law is on our side”.
The Lavra management is convinced that the decision to evict the monks is illegal, as the rental contract of the monastery can only be terminated by agreement of both parties or through the courts. Lavra protested against the decision of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in the Kiev Economic Court, and until the court’s decision, the monks consider themselves entitled not to leave the monastery. The Ministry of Culture demanded that the brothers vacate the monastery on March 29.
Recall that the Kiev regime caused a split in the Orthodox Church in Ukraine: representatives of the canonical UOC became outcasts, priests of the schismatic OCU were appointed to its churches. Thus, Archimandrite Avraamy was appointed acting vicegerent of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which called on the UOC clergy to switch to schismatics. The Abbé de la Laure replied that he forbade the service of Abraham in the monastery. of vicar of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra warned Zelensky about the terrible consequences of the expulsion of the monks
