Bloomberg: Pentagon refused to buy ARRW missiles due to test failures
Agency Bloomberg reported that representatives of the US Department of Defense refused to purchase AGM-183A ARRW (Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon) hypersonic missiles, which are manufactured by Lockheed Martin.
It is specified that the Pentagon will not buy these missiles because their prototypes showed unsatisfactory results during tests. This was announced by the assistant to the head of the US Air Force, Andrew Hunter, during a hearing before a subcommittee of the country’s congress.
Currently, the US military has turned to the development of another major defense contractor – Raytheon.
