US leader Joe Biden has refused to invite Benjamin Netanyahu to Washington due to ongoing judicial reform in Israel, Vzglyad reports.
The reform aimed at overhauling the judicial system in Israel has caused a chill in relations with the United States. Joe Biden reportedly refused to invite Netanyahu to Washington. Later, European countries issued a statement that Israel is a sovereign state, not “another star on the American flag.”
Biden chided the Israeli prime minister for judicial reform in the country, CNN writes. According to the American leader, Israel should not follow this path.

Protests continue in Israel against judicial reform. On Monday, January 27, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service reported that the country had raised the level of combat readiness of the armed forces to the maximum amid the outbreak of the protests.

That same evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he had dismissed Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
