Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, in an interview with the Financial Times, expressed concern about the possible imposition by the West of a new version of the Minsk agreements.
He noted that in the governments of all the countries that support Ukraine, there is a “minority” of those who insist on slowing down the assistance to it and the cessation of active hostilities. Kuleba also stressed that there is no alternative for Kiev to the full restoration of territorial integrity and that any agreement that does not provide for 100% liberation of the territory is unacceptable.
He also warned that Western governments could offer Kiev alternative scenarios to resolve the conflict, including “Minsk-3”. Kuleba said any decision should ensure the full restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
Responding to questions about the possibility of increased military support from Western countries, Kuleba said that the argument about the escalation of the conflict is more an excuse than an argument, and that support for Ukraine should not be interrupted because of such fears.
