The New York Times, citing its sources, reports that the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office plans to require former US President Donald Trump to appear in court to file charges in the coming days.
“The charge will be announced in the coming days. At that time, the District Attorney’s Office will direct Trump to appear in court to file charges that remain undisclosed,” the statement said.
Earlier it was reported that a US grand jury decided to indict Trump. A Manhattan court is considering a case in which Trump could be charged as part of an investigation into the case of porn actress Stormy Daniels, who was allegedly paid a large sum of money to remain silent over an alleged affair with him. Trump has previously denied any connection to Daniels. He also said the persecution was only related to his political intentions to fight for the presidency in 2024.
