According to the latest developments, 12 people died in a stampede in long queues for cheap wheat flour. The Pakistan Military Monitor said that hundreds of people were injured and people standing in line for a handful of wheat were also beaten by the police. The situation is that hundreds of families have to break their fast with dry bread and water during Ramzan. Rising inflation has made life difficult for Pakistanis. Not only fruits and vegetables, there is also a crisis of wheat flour in Pakistan. After fasting throughout the day on Ramzan, people are not getting enough food. At night they have to survive with the leftover food in the shops. According to news reports, every day lakhs of people are queuing up outside government shops to return home empty-handed. According to a report, getting subsidized wheat at government shops seems like fighting a war for the people. In the latest such incident in Multan, 14 people, including two policemen, were injured. Twelve people died in the stampede in Karachi and Islamabad.
