The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, on Saturday, that an eight-year-old boy had fallen into an artesian well, and that strenuous efforts were being made by the citizens of Kobani in northern Syria to save him, but with primitive capabilities.
According to the Observatory, the child, who comes from the village of Dihaban in Kobani, fell hours ago, and efforts to rescue him are continuing to get him out of the well, which is 120 meters deep, while he was stuck 40-50 meters deep.
The rescuers used primitive methods used in digging artesian wells, due to the lack of modern equipment.
The Observatory published a video clip of the rescue operations carried out by ordinary citizens from the area.
One of the clips showed an attempt to get the child out by tying a man with a rope and inserting him backwards into the well.
And remember this incident, the tragedy of the Moroccan child, Rayan, who fell into an artesian well last year, and his case raised the whole world.
