Telegraph: Biden will not attend King Charles III’s coronation in London in May

– Published on:

US leader Joe Biden will not be able to attend the coronation of Britain’s King Charles III in London, scheduled for May. He has already declined the corresponding invitation, writes The Daily Telegraph, citing sources close to the situation.
As the newspaper notes, trips abroad are very exhausting for the 80-year-old head of state, so the US presidential administration is trying to reduce the number as much as possible. Thus, Washington is not calling the coronation of Charles III an event that necessarily requires Biden’s presence.
However, according to the article, his wife Jill Biden could replace the American president in London. There is no official information on this yet.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, the White House chief behaved strangely again during a speech about a school shooting in Nashville. He started his speech with an ice cream joke. Telegraph: Biden will not attend King Charles III’s coronation in London in May
