From the Dafna area, Al Sharq was hosted by the council of Ali bin Hussein Al-Nama Al-Amer, to retrieve memories of the customs of the people of the north in Ramadan in the past, and the value and importance of the custom of firing the Ramadan cannon in the time of the ancestors as a means of introducing the people of the city to the time of breaking the fast. "the East" It sank into the memory of the pioneers of the council, to bring them back to memories "Ramadan howled"And their daily habits in the holy month, and how they spent their time at that time, with their talk about the most famous restaurants at that time for grills and kebabs, and how they were popular in Ramadan specifically because they are famous for their distinctive spice mixture. Ali bin Hussein Al-Nama: The breakfast cannon was not just a habit. In the beginning, the father, Ali bin Hussein Al-Nama, the eldest of those present in the council, spoke: "In the past, we had a feeling of entering the blessed month of Ramadan through manifestations of great preparation before entering the holy month, by preparing the house, which includes ten rooms, with everything we needed, decorating and painting the house, and the ladies used to beat love in the bias, and my mother used to grind love on the old mill, and when Entering the holy month, the family used to set a special task for each person, and they used to send me to bring bread and dates from "hospitable". added: "My grandfather, grandmother, father and mother also urged me to fast, because my grandfather was an imam and preacher, and likewise my father was a muezzin in the mosque. They taught us obedience to God, praying in congregation in the mosque, maintaining ties of kinship, and visiting relatives. They also urged us to turn to formal education and to read the Qur’an, especially during the summer period.". He continued: "After the Asr prayer, even before Iftar, our family assigned us with my brothers to distribute dishes in the month of Ramadan to the neighbors and relatives, and we were happy with this task, which we considered great and for which we earn a reward from God. "Altric" Which has a fuse and has gas, then we light it to help us in lighting the house at night, as well as cleaning the lighthouse and the courtyard, and we help them and we are happy". He explained that when he was young, he celebrated Garangao with his brothers, as they passed by the houses of Doha, after breakfast, and the palace of the Emir, Father Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, distributed the best types of Garangao, including sweets, nuts, parmeet, and clothing, and the Darwish House used to give each one of us "rupee". Ali bin Hussain said: "I bought a car for five hundred rupees, and I used to go around the streets of Doha to enjoy, and then I turned it into a taxi in the city of Doha, and I used to drive people to Al-Wakra for five rupees.". Speaking of the breakfast cannon, he said: "We used to enjoy the iftar cannon in Ramadan and tell our people when it launched and see the incoming, which is a red light block that we see in the sky in a parachute that gradually descends, and we compete for who gets it among the youth, and the Ramadan cannon in the sixties of the last century has a great importance in notifying people of the time of breaking the fast. Now it is to introduce the new generation to the traditional breakfast cannon and see the large gathering around it".

Mohammed bin Hussein Al-Nama: We were racing to pick up "incoming" At breakfast time, Muhammad bin Hussein Al-Nama, the owner of the council, spoke about Ramadan and the breakfast cannon, saying: "I was born in Al-Jasra, then we moved to the new Fereej Al-Ghanim, next to the cemetery, where I continued until 1984 AD, then I moved to Al-Dafna. Receiving the month of Ramadan differs from the months of the year. The preparation for it is not even from the psychological and spiritual point of view, drawing closer to God through fasting, frequent acts of worship and acts of worship, and keenness to read the Qur’an a lot, and make seals and reward them at the end of the holy month.". added: "When we were young, we were fascinated by the Ramadan cannon and we were keen to watch it. When the cannon was fired at the time of the call to prayer, marking the beginning of the time of breaking the fast, they would say, “It revolted.” "incoming"It is the red parachute, and I had a funny story, as we were racing to get and catch the red parachute before it fell to the ground.". He stressed that Qatar TV and Radio were the source of notifying people of the time of Iftar, but the habit of the Iftar cannon remained, as families were keen to go with their young children to watch the ceremony of launching the Iftar cannon, and people would gather at the Iftar cannon, and the young would take souvenir photos of them and ride on The cannon, and we used to teach them the importance of the cannon at that time. We used to go to Souq Waqif and our father would buy us Eid necessities because we wear all new clothes, to the point where we put our new clothes under the pillow, on which we sleep, because there is no laundry that irons clothes at that time, then we go to the Eid prayer in the Jasra chapel on foot from Al-Ghanim to Al-Jasra And we show off our new clothes, and after completing the Eid prayer, we go with the father to visit the family and relatives, and they give us the Eidiya, then we, the three brothers Ali, Abdullah, and I, Muhammad, pass through the houses all day and we compete for who collects the largest number of Eidiya, and it is always "courtesy" It goes to my older brother, but I like it "Feast off". Ahmed bin Ali Al-Nemah: In Ramadan, the multiplication table distracted my thinking. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Neama, nicknamed Abu Turki, said: "Ramadan is a month of goodness, blessing, fasting, frequent acts of worship, drawing closer to God, reading the Holy Qur’an, and performing ritual prayers. It is different from the rest of the months, and we are preparing for it with great preparation, as my paternal grandfather taught me fasting, in addition to my father and mother, and my maternal grandfather, who is from the Fakhro family, encouraged me and kept silent. I am nine years old, and he taught me the multiplication table, and one of the funny situations was that I was leading Taraweeh prayers, young men, my peers in the house of my grandfather from Al-Fakhro, who taught me the multiplication table and said out loud (5X5) how much is the result? Never forget that he taught me a lot". added: "Fasting during Ramadan when I was preparing for exams tired me out so much that sometimes we had to break our fast due to the high summer heat. I remember the beautiful days of the Garangao, we used to go in groups and search for the festoons and clatter loudly, so that they would give us nuts and sweets and we would compete over who would get more than the other, and foreigners would give us money, especially when we were banging in the park". Speaking of the breakfast cannon, he said: "Personally, I did not catch up with Zaman Oula and the importance of the breakfast cannon for them, as there were no media. Rather, the father used to take us to the cannon site, and the view of the cannon was very beautiful, especially when we see the soldiers in their uniforms sitting next to the cannon in preparation for firing it at the time of breakfast, and it appears from it It is in red, and we also take souvenir photos with the cannon, and my father told me that when they were young, they used to run and compete to get it as a souvenir.".
