In Hamburg, a fire broke out in warehouses in the Rotenburgsort district. A chemical cloud has formed over the city writing Picture.

Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (BBK) recommended city dwellers to close windows and doors, as well as turn off ventilation systems to protect themselves from smoke. About 140 people were evacuated, informed Reuters, citing a police spokesperson. In addition, traffic on the Büchen-Hamburg railway line was interrupted due to the fire.
Firefighters initially described the situation as “extremely dangerous”, but later lowered the threat level.
