Karwa Transport Company signs a memorandum of understanding with Yutong Corporation to support electric vehicle research

Mowasalat Company (Karwa) signed a memorandum of understanding with the bus manufacturer, Yutong, with the aim of developing joint research and studies on the use of electric vehicles in the field of logistics services. The memorandum of understanding included many areas of cooperation between the two companies, including encouraging the use and development of electric vehicles in the commercial sector in the State of Qatar, joint research projects to convert to electric vehicles, research on promoting safe driving, and raising the operational efficiency of electric vehicles. This memorandum, signed by Mr. Fahad Saad Al-Qahtani, CEO of Mowasalat Company (Karwa), and Mr. Shen Hui, CEO of Yutong Middle East, comes within the framework of Karwa’s endeavor to achieve a healthy and sustainable environment. On this occasion, Mr. Fahad Saad Al-Qahtani, CEO of Mowasalat Company / Karwa / said: "We are the main provider of transportation services in Qatar, and therefore we are aware of our environmental responsibility towards the country. Cooperating with Yutong will help us achieve our goal of promoting the use of clean energy and reducing carbon emissions. We also look forward to working with Yutong in joint research to develop the use of Electric vehicles for logistics services, as well as other initiatives in the field of renewable energy". For his part, Mr. Chen Hui, CEO of Yutong Middle East, said: "We at Yutong Company are committed to creating a sustainable future for all, and we are honored to conclude this partnership with Mowasalat Company (Karwa) to promote the development of electric commercial vehicles in Qatar, as this cooperation represents a milestone in the history of Yutong Company, and we look forward to working together to contribute to providing a green and healthy environment in the State of Qatar". It is worth noting that Mowasalat Company (Karwa) has committed itself over the past years to reducing carbon emissions and promoting clean energy in the State of Qatar, as the company provided electric bus services and electric limousines within the public transport fleet at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Services a great success. The company also continues to contribute to the development of the electric transmission system and the creation of a green environment for future generations, and directs its efforts towards sustainability to support the Qatar National Vision 2030, in order to achieve a sustainable and diversified economy, reduce negative impacts on the environment, and improve the quality of life for Qatari citizens.
