Today, the new Kuwaiti government headed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah took the constitutional oath before His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti Crown Prince. During her swearing-in, the Kuwaiti Crown Prince called on the government to do its utmost to push forward Kuwait’s progress and prosperity, stressing that there are many fundamental issues and numerous files that the state attaches great importance to, both those related to upgrading all service systems and the elimination of corruption and nepotism, and others. He also stressed the need to continue strengthening the role of the State of Kuwait, its status, constants, and its stances towards brotherly and friendly countries. For his part, the Prime Minister stressed, in a speech to him on the occasion, that the new government will devote its efforts to serve Kuwait, and cooperate with all segments of society to translate the hopes and aspirations of citizens. On January 26, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, received the letter of resignation of the previous government. It should be noted that on July 24, 2022, an Amiri order was issued to appoint Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister of Kuwait for the first time, who submitted his resignation on October 2, 2022, to be reappointed again as Prime Minister on October 5, 2022 after an Amiri order was issued to reappoint him.
