Positive temperatures finally settled in the Kola Arctic. In this regard, municipal and road services began to carry out cleaning of territories in spring mode.
On Monday, April 10, at the operational meeting of the government of the Murmansk region, Minister of Energy and Housing Alexander Kobytev announced the start of the spring harvest campaign in the region.
According to him, the quality of maintenance of municipal territories in the spring is assessed using the Territory Cleaning Monitoring System (SMUT), which controls more than 750 pieces of equipment and makes it possible to define and track the number and types of work carried out.
With the advent of warming in the Arctic, they began to take measures to clean storm sewers, wells and drainage systems. Much attention is paid to cleaning the streets from the sand left after the snow melts.
Work was also carried out on the establishment of an emergency stock of inventory, equipment and materials for the disposal of melt water from settlements.
Conclusions about whether or not the responsible departments coped with the task of caring for the territories in the spring can be drawn a little later, closer to the summer.
Recall, earlier “The Eastern Herald in Murmansk” said that residents of the North began to report poor-quality snow clearing of streets and courtyards with the onset of heat 34% more often.
