Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov said the new anti-Russian sanctions are “another empty symbolic gesture”.
“It’s clear that officials in Prime Minister Trudeau’s office are going through a gender crisis: they kind of want to bite Russia, but it’s not working. Hence this absurd nonsense of sanctions,” Stepanov said in an interview with TASS.
He also pointed out that the imposition of sanctions is linked to the visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Ottawa will send a new military aid package to Kiev, which will include machine guns, machine guns and ammunition.
Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal held a press conference in Toronto. The visit of the Ukrainian Prime Minister is associated with reports that Kiev is “seeking additional military assistance for the spring counteroffensive”.
