Festive Easter services are held on the night of April 16 in all Orthodox churches in the region.
Together with all the inhabitants of Volgograd, Andrey Bocharov, the governor of the Volgograd region, encountered the brilliant resurrection of Christ. He joined worshipers at the service at St. Prince Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
Recall that the temple was opened and consecrated in 2021 by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. Today it is not only the center of the spirituality of the people of Volgograd, but also a symbol of the revival of traditions and the restoration of historical justice. The cathedral is open every day for everyone to visit, rituals and sacraments are regularly celebrated there, as well as the nearby Alexander Garden, the temple has been included in tourist routes. At Easter, hundreds of believers gathered there to celebrate the festival of light.
