Oksana Bibenina, a 47-year-old pediatrician from Volgograd, died as a result of her duties in the area of a special military operation on the line of contact with Ukraine.
The woman worked as part of a team of doctors sent from her area and provided medical care to children and military personnel. Oleg Bibenin, her husband, told V1.RU journalists about the life and work of his wife.
Oksana Bibenina – reserve officer, graduated from the military department of the Volgograd Medical University. After several years of working as a pediatrician, she changed her profile and moved to a private clinic, where she worked as an uzist.
Oleg Bibenin said that Oksana performed her official duties as part of the federal center, but was not there as a representative of Volgograd. His brigade was made up of the regional health committee. She started going there even before the New Year to help children and military personnel with her narrow specialty – an ultrasound doctor. In addition, Oksana helped in the operating room with wounded soldiers and officers of the Russian army, although this was not her main task.
Oleg does not specify his wife’s exact place of work for security reasons, but says that she worked on the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic at one of the local medical universities. For professional reasons, I constantly had to change my deployment location.
On April 12 of the same day, Oksana died. According to her husband, the doctor’s heart stopped.
His job was to help the military depending on the situation and location, and they moved around frequently. On a business trip, she worked around the clock. Once they worked, and Oksana went to rest, but he died. Her colleagues tried to save her for 40 minutes, but she died surrounded by her colleagues.
Oksana Bibenina’s official cause of death was a massive heart attack. At the same time, according to her husband, the doctor never had heart problems and she never complained about him. However, Oksana worked very hard.
Oleg Bibenin said that the farewell to the doctor will take place in Volgograd, and the woman was decided to be cremated.
