In Sochi, a visitor to Goryachy Klyuch was arrested on suspicion of stealing a hoverboard

Sochi law enforcement arrested a 35-year-old man from Goryachiy Klyuch on suspicion of theft. According to the press service of the municipal police headquarters, a homeless visitor to the station appropriated the vehicle left on the landing. The amount of damage to the 34-year-old resident of Sochi is estimated at 30,000 rubles.

According to the agency, the actions of the alleged attacker were captured on CCTV footage. After viewing the video, law enforcement discovered that the suspect, making sure no one saw him, had appropriated someone else’s property. After detaining a visitor on one of Sochi’s streets, police returned his hoverboard to a local resident.

Regarding a native of Goryachiy Klyuch, law enforcement officers of the station opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He faces up to 5 years in prison. The man is now in custody.
