Reconstruction of the Nizhny Novgorod aeration station should be completed by the end of 2024

Modernization of the Nizhny Novgorod aeration station should be completed in the fall of 2024. This became known at a meeting of the Duma Standing Committee on Municipal Services.

A total of 10.8 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. The reconstruction will improve the quality of treatment of wastewater discharged into the Volga. Thus, discharges of phosphorus and nitrogen compounds should be reduced by 29%. This meets the standards in all respects.

In addition, the modernization will affect the air purification facilities. This will reduce emissions of harmful substances by more than 35 times – from 64 to 1.8 tons per year.

Currently, the work is being carried out by 173 people on nine sites out of the 86 planned. By May, the number of workers will be increased to 250.
