The management of the Volodarsk regional newspaper Zarya Kaspiya has changed. The Eastern Herald spoke about the conflict between the newspaper staff and the managers in the last issue. Alas, neither the support of colleagues nor wide publicity helped defend the interests of journalists. With the old and. O. editor-in-chief Vitaly Korolevskiy, many members of the creative staff decided to leave the newspaper.

During a meeting with regional journalists who decided to look into the situation on the spot, the deputy head of the municipality, Khamza Kurmangaliev
denied censorship and attempts to influence the press.
Despite these assurances, on April 11, the local government issued an announcement about its resources in which it notified the inhabitants that paragraph 2 of s. 278 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation – the decision of the owner. The publication, we recall, was established by the administration of the municipal formation (MO) “Volodarsky District”. Officials added that Mr. Korolevskiy had no higher education and combined the powers of a team leader with the duties of a model maker.
The Telegram channel “Pro Volodarsky” said that in solidarity with Vitaly Korolevsky, the entire creative and management staff of the newspaper left the editorial office. Sholpan Musralieva became the new editor.
The district administration said she had experience in public service. It remains to be hoped that the prosecution will have a say: the appeal of the Caspian Dawn team has been transferred to the supervisory authority of the regional administration, where the journalists also turned to support .
Recall that the head of the district, Khamza Ismukhanov, has a protracted conflict not only with the local press, but also with regional leaders. The district was among the laggards in the results of the implementation of national projects in 2022, for which it was criticized by regional governor Igor Babushkin. For a long time they were unable to solve the problem of water supply to the village of Zelenga, as well as to generally resolve the conflict with the concessionaire Digital Vodokanal. At the end of March, a glaring situation developed when, due to the debts of the district administration to the carrier, 4 ferries stopped operating.
