On April 22, in the Zadneprovsky district of the city of Smolensk, the so-called “solid checks” will take place. During these inspections, traffic police officers stop all cars in a row and check drivers for signs of alcohol or drug intoxication.
We remind drivers that for drunk driving you can lose your license for two years and receive a fine of 30,000 rubles. Repeat violations are prosecuted. Refusal of a medical examination is treated as an offence.
The State Traffic Inspectorate informs that video recorders are installed in all traffic police patrol cars. Citizens, when in contact with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate, also have the right to make audio or video recordings.
