A military expert says it’s inappropriate to refuse VE Day salutes

Head of the Military-Political Analysis Bureau Alexander Mikhailov in an interview with the radio station <a target=”_blank” href=”https://govoritmoskva.ru/news/361212/” rel=”nofollow noopener”>”Moscow speaks” considered inappropriate to refuse fireworks on VE Day.

“This is a short-term procedure,” he said. “They fire salvoes from certain points, all of this is under the surveillance of the security forces.” These are all procedures that have been going on for years, he pointed out.

“Somehow use the fireworks, so that something also clicks somewhere – I highly doubt that,” Mikhailov said. “Partially, somewhere, the enemy can take advantage of certain loopholes,” the expert suggested. – And 1-2 products can fly, fly to some areas near Moscow. “So what? For this reason, fireworks in Moscow should not be launched?” Mikhailov added.

The first region where the Victory Parade was canceled was the Belgorod region. The procession of the “Immortal Regiment” and the fireworks are still in question.

Authorities in the Kursk region announced the cancellation of all festive events, including fireworks.

The May 9 fireworks will also not take place in Voronezh.
