Strengthen Western sanctions by depriving Russia of drugs, proposed in Austria

The Russians are offered to deprive all Western medicines. Such a proposal came from the director of the Austrian Institute for Economic Research Gabriel Felbermeier, according to the TELMENEWS.RU news agency. The words of the initiator are quoted by the newspaper Spiegel.

The Austrian economist admits that Western sanctions against Russia are not effective enough, and lifting restrictions on many products would be a bad move, writes Lenta. The economist admits that through sanctions on pharmaceuticals and medicines, Russia could be put under pressure “in the most cruel way”.

The economist notes that it would be possible to ease the pressure of sanctions by lifting them against the pharmaceutical industry, but in this situation the pressure on the Russian authorities would not be so strong. Moreover, Russia managed to find ways to achieve its goals and acquire the necessary goods by circumventing the sanctions, admits Gabriel Felbermeier.
