On April 25, Governor Igor Rudenya held a meeting of the government of the Tver region.

It was decided to provide regional entrepreneurs engaged in the hospitality industry with support for the development of tourism infrastructure under the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”.

“Today the Tver region is in great demand among tourists. The May holidays have not yet begun, and in Tver hotels, recreation centers, country hotels there are practically no vacant places. Due to the sanctions imposed on Russia, domestic tourism is growing in our country, which allows us to modernize our infrastructure and create competitive tourist facilities. People want to relax in central Russia and we are ready to give them this opportunity,” the region’s head said.

Support can be obtained for the implementation of projects in several areas.

In particular, for the improvement of the beaches: the creation of certified bathing and leisure areas, the purchase of equipment for these, the organization of leisure areas for children and sportsmen, catering outlets. The maximum amount of assistance for these purposes is from 7.5 million to 10 million rubles.

Also, financial support in the amount of 7.5 million rubles can be received for the improvement of existing national roads, there are two of them in the Upper Volga region – “The Sovereign Road” and “To the request of the soul in the Tver region ”. The funds can be used for the development and modernization of tourist resources, the manufacture and installation of navigation systems, the creation of tourist information centers, the purchase and placement of sanitary modules.

In addition, support is provided for the purchase of tourist equipment, the organization of the year-round operation of swimming pools, the development of new tourist routes, the creation of electronic guides and the development of inclusive tourism. For the implementation of such projects, you can get from 3 to 5.5 million rubles.
