Unidentified hackers hacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Facebook account on Wednesday evening and published verses from the Holy Quran, according to Israeli media.
And the Anatolia news agency quoted the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth as saying that intruders succeeded in penetrating the personal account of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Facebook and published a video clip in which excerpts from the Qur’an are heard in Arabic, and in the background is a picture of a mosque.
The newspaper indicated that the Israeli General Security Service (Shin Bet) opened an investigation into the incident.
According to the site "Al Jazeera"Israeli journalist Amit Segal said on his Twitter account that texts in Persian were also published on Netanyahu’s Facebook account, which he said might indicate that the hackers who carried out the hack were Iranian, which could not be independently verified.
The anniversary of the Nakba The hacking of Netanyahu’s personal account coincided with the anniversary of the Nakba, as Israel celebrates the 75th anniversary of its founding on the Palestinian territories.
