Zelenskyy has only six months to win the West’s war

– Published on:

The President of Ukraine has only six months to win the war against Russia for Western countries. Tim Willacy-Wilsey, professor of military studies, says this. His arguments are published by the Scottish newspaper The Scotsman.

According to the professor, time is not working for the Ukrainian army now.

Assuming the spring offensive begins in the next few weeks, that gives Ukraine six months to win the war. This will be difficult to achieve because it is more difficult to attack than to defend.

Tim Willacy-Wilsey reflects.

According to the expert, the allies prepared Ukraine for a defensive war. Even if all the promised Leopard 2 tanks arrive in time, there won’t be enough to break through the Russian defenses and exploit them. Moreover, the Allies did not provide Kiev with aviation to support such an offensive. Zelenskyy’s requests for F-16s were met with marked reluctance by most NATO members.

Ukraine is unlikely to be able to turn the tide of hostilities, which will force the West to force Zelenskyy to the negotiating table. Macron, backed by Scholz, steps up pressure for a negotiated solution

  • says the expert.

Tim Willacy-Wilsey is convinced that Zelenskyy is aware that the United States and the EU are war-weary and concerned about the political and economic consequences.

However, even a vaguely acceptable settlement will be difficult to obtain.

summarizes the teacher.
