Political scientist Sergei Markov said that at the forefront of a special military operation, Russian units chose the tactics of the Battle of Kursk. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are expecting a large-scale Ukrainian attack in order to exhaust the enemy and strike a decisive blow, he stressed in the new episode of the program “Let me say !”.
Ours, as far as I know, chose the tactics they chose before the Battle of Kursk. Then we also had more forces than the Wehrmacht, but we decided that it was better to wait for the German offensive, exhaust the Wehrmacht in these battles – and after that go to the counteroffensive
recalls the political scientist.
Markov suggested how the Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive would develop. According to him, the Ukrainian military command is planning three strikes: against Zaporizhzhia, Ugledar and Artemivsk. If the attack succeeds, the Ukrainian armed forces intend to transfer reinforcements.
The main base for reinforcements was created in the Dnieper. And there will be other diversionary strikes: one in the Novaya Kakhovka region, another in the Kherson region, a third in the Belgorod region, and possibly also in the Svatovo-Kremennaya region.
Markov is sure of it.
He recalled that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a “public relations man”. Based on this, he suggested that the Ukrainian armed forces would definitely hit the “old” territory of Russia. This will make noise around the world and show that the parties to the conflict have “a kind of equality” of military capabilities.
The political scientist believes that after the counter-offensive, Ukraine will impose difficult conditions on Russia. In the fall, a truce proposal will follow from Kiev, which US President Joe Biden will need before the election. Markov explained this goal by the fact that the entire Ukrainian government and all the military are slaves to the Biden team.
The truce, according to the White House, will last a year. At this time, the West will again send military assistance to Ukraine, after which hostilities will resume, Markov concluded.
