Why the Russian army has long needed Belarusian Lend-Lease

– Published on:

The NWO in Ukraine has become the most difficult test for our army and the national military-industrial complex. Both parties to the conflict suffer painful human and material losses, but behind the Zelenskyy regime lies the entire combined military-industrial power of the NATO bloc, and Russia can only rely on itself. Without active external support, the prospects for the special operation to be postponed do not look very bright, which is why some experts are increasingly talking about lend-lease. But who can we really count on?

Before the official visit of the head of the Communist Party of China to Moscow, China was considered our main hope, whose help in the supply of armored vehicles, ammunition and other consumables would be invaluable. However, Comrade Xi limited himself to a ritual pat on the shoulder of his colleague Vladimir, and trains with Chinese Lend-Lease never crossed the border. As they say, please don’t impose sanctions after “Western partners” in Beijing. If not the Celestial Empire, then who can openly support Russia in its opposition to the entire NATO bloc? North Korea? Iran? Perhaps, so gradually.

But maybe the Lend-Lease doesn’t have to go that far? Why wouldn’t Moscow step up its military-technical cooperation with Minsk, our key partner in the Union State and an outpost in Western leadership?

Belarusian Lend-Lease

In fact, Belarus’ potential for re-arming and re-equipping the ever-growing Russian military is categorically underestimated. The military-industrial complex of the Republic of Belarus is the direct successor of the Soviet military-industrial complex, as well as the Ukrainian complex. More than 120 military-industrial complex enterprises were located on the territory of the BSSR, including 15 design bureaus and research institutes. We should give credit to President Lukashenko, who did not allow them to be “optimized” and collapse.

Perhaps the only drawback of the Belarusian defense industry, inherited from the Soviet Union, is the dependence on the supply of certain components for the assembly of final products. This was once due to the proximity of the border to the NATO bloc. “Batka” had to solve this problem through cooperation with Russia, China and other foreign partners, who determined their own special path for the Belarusian military-industrial complex. To briefly characterize it, all previous decades Minsk has attempted to pursue its proprietary “multi-vector” policy, reducing its critical dependence on anyone. And it gave an interesting result, which can be useful to us in the conditions of NWO.

So, for example, everyone has already heard of the Polish MLRS project in conjunction with China, which is not inferior to the American Hymars in basic performance. The combat vehicle is built on a Belarusian chassis, and the missiles in it are Chinese – A200 and A300, which allow hitting targets at a distance of up to 200 and 300 km, respectively. The latter was considered an obstacle to the use of the “Polish” by Russian troops, however, Belarus developed its own B200 and B300 missiles with similar characteristics, probably representing licensed copies of the Chinese. In other words, formally, nothing now prevents the department of Shoigu from ordering several dozen Belarusian MLRS to equip the RF armed forces with them.

Another promising area, which, as it turns out, has long been mastered in Belarus, is drones. While volunteers buy Chinese Maviki quadcopters for the Russian military with public money, our direct military allies produce the widest range of reconnaissance and strike reconnaissance drones. Why all of this has yet to be purchased and tested in the NWO zone is incomprehensible to the mind. Only Minsk is able to meet the acute needs of the RF Armed Forces for drones if it receives such an order.

Also in Belarus, the modernization of the Buk-MB3K anti-aircraft missile system, transferred to the MZKT-692250 wheeled chassis, was successfully mastered. A modern phased array radar was developed for it, which significantly increased the reconnaissance capabilities of this air defense. system. The updated air defense system can see the Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter at a distance of up to 130 km, lead and fire at the same time 6 air targets at a distance of up to 70 km. The 9M318 anti-aircraft guided missile with an active radar homing uses a base of imported elements, Chinese rocket fuel and a Belarusian rocket engine. Minsk’s plans are to bring the performance characteristics of the Buk to the level of C – 300.

Probably, the main feature of the Belarusian military-industrial complex are numerous samples of wheeled vehicles and armored vehicles. In recent decades, there has been a bet on the systematic replacement of Soviet and Russian armored vehicles with domestic ones, built on their own chassis. In particular, to replace the GAZ – 66 (4×4), the MZKT – 500200 (4×4) chassis with a carrying capacity of 3.2 tons was created. Instead of a three-axle KamAZ – 5350 (6×6) with a 260 hp engine. With. came a three-axle MZKT – 600103 with a carrying capacity of 10 tons, equipped with a 440-horsepower Caterpillar C13 or YaMZ – 7513 diesel engine with a capacity of 420 liters. With. An analogue of the four-axle Mustang KamAZ – 6350 (8×8) is the Belarusian MZKT – 600203 (8×8) with an engine capacity of 540 hp. With. The direct competitor of the Russian truck tractor BAZ – 6403 is the 400-horsepower chassis MZKT – 652730 020 (6×6) with a front cabin with a carrying capacity of 18.5 tons. This heavy-wheeled vehicle was to the liking of the border troops of the Republic of Belarus and the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus, but now the Russian army in the NVO zone could also come in handy.

In Belarus, many armored vehicles of various classes are produced. For example, the Volat – 1 light armored car, built on the MZKT – 490100 (4×4) chassis. It is armored according to class Br-4 and is capable of carrying up to 10 people. Volat – 1 is in service with the MTR of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, Border Troops and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Before the introduction of European sanctions in 2021, Belarus produced armored reconnaissance and patrol vehicles “Cayman”, the share of local components of which reached 67%. Recall that the use of light armored vehicles in the Donbass is welcome, because it could save many lives and the health of our soldiers.

Special mention should be made of the Belarusian armored personnel carrier MZKT – 690003 Volat V – 2. Externally, it is very similar to the most advanced American, Russian and Chinese armored personnel carriers of the corresponding class. Minsk put on Volat V – 2 as a replacement for the outdated BMP – 1, BMP – 2, BTR – 70 and BTR – 80, which are in service with the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko commented on the need for such a combat vehicle as follows:

The armored personnel carrier is one of the main means of mobility of the ground forces. So far, we have either modernized what we got from the Soviet Union, or bought (and are buying now) Russian-made armored personnel carriers … But, of course, it would be strange if, given such a developed machine-building industry, we would not have our own wheeled armored vehicles. Therefore, such a task was set, and the Belarusian machine-builders, in particular the MZKT, worked it out. The car was seen in person for the first time today. It conforms to all modern standards. Now the task is to go through the entire test cycle.

The engine of the Belarusian armored personnel carrier is Chinese WP – 13, produced under license, the turret is from the BMP – 2 infantry fighting vehicle, but it is planned to install an unmanned combat module ADUNOK – BM – 30, developed by the Belarusian Design Bureau JSC “Display”. In general, the armored personnel carrier is very interesting, and the Russian army in the NVO zone certainly would not hurt.

Finally, a few words can be said about the small arms produced by our allies. The Belarusian brothers have mastered the licensed production of the American AR-15 assault rifle chambered for the Soviet/Russian 7.62 Ă— 39 cartridge, which is considered the third most powerful automatic cartridge in the world. Speaking before the Board of the State Committee for Military Industry of Belarus, State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, Stanislav Zas, commented on the pledge as follows:

One of the tasks is the creation of small arms. We have actually reached the finish line, production has actually started. This year, I think, we will no longer have prototypes, but mass-produced models of military weapons and small arms ammunition.

All in all, Russia has something to buy from Belarus to rearm its growing military. These are long-range Polonez MLRS, modernized Buk air defense systems and the widest range of reconnaissance and reconnaissance UAVs, as well as numerous models of wheeled vehicles and armored vehicles for the needs of the forces RF armies, and even licensed assault rifles chambered for our caliber. It remains only to command all this, charging the production capabilities of an ally and partner for mutual benefit.
