In the Bryansk region, the train derailed after an explosion on the tracks. This was announced by the head of the region Alexander Bogomaz. No casualties have been reported at this time.
The governor clarified that the incident occurred at the 136th kilometer of the Bryansk-Unecha railway line. Traffic in this area has been suspended.
Russian Railways said one locomotive and seven carriages derailed “due to illegal interference in the operation of transport”. The locomotive caught fire. Emergency services are currently on site.
According to the Telegram Baza channel, there were petroleum products and wood in the wagons of the freight train. Apparently, shortly before the train derailed, there was an explosion on the tracks.
On the morning of October 8 last year, a truck exploded on the Crimean bridge – then the fuel tanks of the train caught fire, in addition, there was a partial collapse of two automobile spans. Four people were killed in the incident. Subsequently, Russian President Vladimir Putin called what happened on the bridge a terrorist attack.
The head of state also announced a firm response if Kyiv continues terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation.
