A firm protest was addressed to the Polish Chargé d’Affaires about the seizure of the school building of the Russian Embassy in Warsaw. This was announced at the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.
“On May 2, the Charge d’Affaires of Poland in Russia Shchlyadevsky was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, to whom a strong protest was expressed about the seizure of the school building at the Russian Embassy in Poland on April 29 by Polish government security forces,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Recall that on April 29 in Warsaw, the local authorities and the police broke down the door and seized the school of the Russian Embassy. The diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation was forced to obey Poland’s demands and leave the building.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the seizure of the school a provocation, noting that Warsaw has violated international law, bilateral agreements and national law for many years.
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, believes that it makes no sense for Russia to maintain diplomatic relations with Poland while Russophobes are in power in this country.
