Putin and Maduro discussed trade, economic, energy and humanitarian projects

Russian and Venezuelan Presidents Vladimir Putin and Nicolas Maduro discussed joint trade, economic, energy and humanitarian projects of the two countries during a telephone conversation. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.

The heads of state discussed the further development of cooperation between Moscow and Caracas, the Russian-Venezuelan strategic partnership, according to the report.

The conversation between the two leaders was initiated by the Venezuelan side. The President of Venezuela condemned Kyiv’s attack on Kremlin territory.

Putin and Maduro agreed to continue contacts at different levels.

Earlier, Sergei Lavrov said that Russia would help Venezuela become independent from the United States. The Russian Foreign Minister made this statement during his visit to Caracas.
