“The ambassador’s remarks undermine the spirit of cooperation and partnership” between the two countries, Vincent Maguiña, spokesman for President Cyril Ramaphosa, said in a statement.
“The ambassador’s taking a public stance is counterproductive and disappointing,” Magwenya added.
