Zakhar Prilepin, who received broken legs, a wound caused by an explosive mine and contusion of both lungs following an assassination attempt on May 6, successfully overcame the second stage of the operation to repair leg fractures. This was reported in the writer’s press service.
“Today, the second stage of the operation to fix the bone fragments was successfully completed to ensure their solid fixation until complete fusion,” the message reads.
According to the doctors’ decision, Prilepin will spend the next few days in the intensive care unit. This will help her recover faster after the operation.
Recall that on May 6 in Nizhny Novgorod an assassination attempt was made on Zakhar Prilepin – the car in which he was traveling exploded. The writer’s colleague, Alexander Shubin, who was driving, died. Today they said goodbye to him in Lugansk. The suspect of the attack was charged – it was discovered that he had Russian and Ukrainian passports. He admitted that he was controlling the explosive device remotely.
