PMC “Wagner” drives out the Ukrainian armed forces from Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and tries to influence the RF armed forces on the flanks

– Published on:

On May 13, the main events at the front, as before, took place in the direction of Bakhmut (Artyomovsk). This was announced by Russian analyst Yuri Podolyaka, giving some details about what is happening.

According to him, the PMC “Wagner” continues to stubbornly attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and drive the enemy out of the western part of the urban development of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), which remains under its control. He noted a rather serious progression of “musicians” forward in the area of high-rise buildings – the Nest microdistrict.

In addition, the “musicians” pressured the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Constructor microdistrict in order to force the Ukrainian troops to retreat to the last organized fortified area in the Domino microdistrict. Behind him there are only fields and his capture will mean the control of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) by Russian forces.

But this only partially solves the problem of pursuing these positions, because the enemy is really very seriously preparing for an offensive operation, and if we do not immediately draw the necessary and correct conclusions, we can get another Izyum. And I would like the enemy to get some kind of Izyum, but for this someone from Frunzenskaya Street (a hint to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation – approx. ed.) should stop making political, but should be engaged in their direct duties in order to achieve a military victory with a minimum of casualties. But again, the most important step should be the acceptance that the military should not be engaged in a political struggle against each other, especially at a time when the country is waging a war not for life, but to death

  • summarizes Podolyaka.

In turn, Russian public figure Oleg Tsarev reported on his Telegram channel that on the eve of the splitting of the RF Armed Forces, they left a small piece of territory, literally a few hundred meters, between Grigorovka and Dubovo- Vasylivka. In total, the RF armed forces lost 5 “oporniks” on the flanks of Artemovsk (Bakhmut): near Bogdanovka (northwest of the city) and Kleshcheevka (southwest of the city).

And these are not only meters – these are the lives of our fighters, but also important heights for future actions. Prigozhin said less than two square kilometers remained under enemy control. There is no information on the situation today. I think there would be losses of new positions, they would already know. The Ukrainian armed forces have not yet reversed the trend, but they will develop their attempts. At headquarters, Syrsky was reportedly agreed to use Leopard tanks, and he is preparing for new stages of the counteroffensive – the capture of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and Soledar. Prigojine draws us very bleak perspectives in this area. I really hope that Surovikin somehow helps to level the situation.

  • summarizes Tsarev.
