And the dermatologist pointed out that the best time to expose yourself to the sun is from eight a.m. to eleven p.m., and from three p.m. to sunset, warning against sun exposure between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., when UVB rays are vertical and cause severe burns.

Sun damage in cloudy weather

Maamari Chalouhi pointed out that, contrary to popular belief, the damage caused by the sun’s rays is not limited only to sunny days, as this damage can occur even on cloudy days, because the sun’s ultraviolet rays, UVA and UVB , can penetrate clouds, while in it a person believes himself protected, calling for the use of sunscreen products, even in cloudy weather.

Apply lotion every two hours

In her interview with Sky News Arabia, the dermatologist highlighted the need to adhere to sun exposure recommendations, reap its benefits and avoid its harms, calling for the use of sunscreen products that fit in a classification of the quantity mentioned on the back of the product with the mention SPF30, with the renewal of the lubricant of the lotion 2 hours after the first use.
