Ahmedabad (Ahmedabad). In the 62nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34 runs. After this victory, Gujarat Titans became the first team to reach the playoffs. The team has become (the first team to reach the playoffs). In this match, Shubman Gill scored the first century of IPL career. He was adjudged man of the match for his excellent batting.

Chasing the target of 189 runs in the match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the start of Hyderabad was again bad. The team once again lost half the team i.e. five wickets in the powerplay itself. Henry Klaasen showed fighting spirit for Hyderabad but it was not enough. Klaasen played an inning of 64 runs. Apart from these, Bhuvneshwar Kumar could score 27 runs, Mayank Markendey 18 runs and Aiden Markram 10 runs. None of the remaining batsmen could reach double figures. For Gujarat, Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma took four wickets each, while Yash Dayal got one wicket.

Earlier, opting to bat after losing the toss, Gujarat Titans posted a score of 188 runs. Opener Shubman Gill scored a brilliant century for Gujarat. However, after scoring a century, he did not stay at the crease for long. Gill played an inning of 101 runs off 58 balls. He was well supported by Sai Sudarshan, who played a fine innings of 47 runs. Apart from these two, no Gujarat batsman could reach double digits. Five batsmen of the team could not even open the account. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took five wickets for Hyderabad while Marco Jansson, Fazlah Farooqui and T. Natarajan got one wicket each.
