The President of Russia has a plan in case of a sharp deterioration in the socio-economic situation of the country.
This was said by economist Mikhail Khazin, according to the TELMENEWS.RU news agency
During the radio program “Moscow speaks”, the expert explained that Vladimir Putin has a fallback solution for a situation on the verge of disaster. According to Khazin, if the situation in the economy and the social sphere gets out of control, he will use his opportunity to completely renew the state apparatus, ridding it of liberals.
As the expert explained, there is still no large-scale purge of civil servants in Russia precisely because the current team of senior bureaucrats ensures the country’s macroeconomic stability. As soon as it ceases to perform this task, the ruling elite will be completely replaced by the president, explained the specialist.
“You have to understand that Putin generally avoids any overt repression of officials simply because of his nature. Moreover, the president is well aware that this process will have very serious consequences, in particular, for some time the work of the entire state apparatus may be completely disrupted,” Khazin explained.
