The head of the Supreme Court of Ukraine was arrested for a bribe of 2.7 million dollars

The President of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Vsevolod Knyazev was arrested in Kiev on suspicion of accepting a bribe of 3 million dollars, reports the Strana.ua Telegram channel with reference to the specialized prosecutor’s office in the fight against corruption (SAP) of the country.

Currently, 18 judges from the Armed Forces of Ukraine are wanted, the channel reports, citing sources from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). Presumably, the head of the court received a bribe from the oligarch Konstantin Zhevago. The case of the bankruptcy of the Bank of Finance and Credit is the subject of an investigation against a businessman from the country, he is in France.

The SAP Telegram channel reports the disclosure of a major corruption scheme in the Supreme Court of Ukraine. There is currently no official confirmation of Knyazev’s detention.

“SAP and revealed massive corruption in the Supreme Court, namely the scheme to obtain improper advantages by the leaders and justices of the Supreme Court. Urgent investigations are currently underway. Details later,” the message read.

Vsevolod Knyazev has been President of the Supreme Court of Ukraine since December 1, 2021.

Earlier, US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh reported that the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency, William Burns, reprimanded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for corruption.
