The closing declaration of the Jeddah Summit in Saudi Arabia for the meeting of the Council of the Arab League at the level of leaders, called the “Jeddah Declaration”:

the palestinian affair

We reaffirm the centrality of the Palestinian cause for our countries as one of the main factors of stability in the region. We condemn in the strongest terms the practices and violations that target Palestinians in their lives, property and entire existence. We stress the importance of stepping up efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue, and of finding a real horizon for achieving peace on the basis of the two-state solution in accordance with international benchmarks, at the first among which the Arab Peace Initiative, relevant international resolutions and principles of international law, so as to ensure the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian State in the Palestinian territories within one year. 1967 AD and its capital is East Jerusalem. The situation in Sudan

We follow with interest the development of the situation and the ongoing events in the sister Republic of Sudan, and we express our deep concern about the repercussions of the crisis on the security, safety and stability of our countries and peoples. . We affirm the need for calm, the language of dialogue and unity of ranks, the lifting of the suffering of the Sudanese people, the preservation of national state institutions, the prevention of their collapse and the prevention of any external interference in Sudanese affairs that fuels conflict and threatens regional peace and security. Considering the meetings in Jeddah between the Sudanese parties as an important step that can be built on to end this crisis, restore security and stability in Sudan and protect the capacities of its people.

Syria’s return to the Arab League

We welcome the decision of the meeting of the Council of the League at the ministerial level, which included the resumption of the participation of the delegations of the Syrian government in the meetings of the Council of the League and its affiliated organizations and agencies. We hope that this will contribute to supporting the stability of the Syrian Arab Republic, preserving its territorial integrity, resuming its natural role in the Arab world, and underscoring the importance of continuing and intensifying Arab efforts aimed at helping the Syria to overcome its crisis, in accordance with the common Arab interest and the fraternal relations that unite all Arab peoples.

Yemeni crisis

We reaffirm our support for all that guarantees the security and stability of the Republic of Yemen and realizes the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people. And support international and regional efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis on the basis of the three references represented in the Gulf initiative and its implementation mechanisms and the results of the Yemeni national dialogue and the resolution Security Council No. 2216. We also renew support for the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen, to establish security, stability and peace in Yemen, including ensuring an end to the Yemeni crisis.

Presidential vacation in Lebanon

We express our solidarity with Lebanon and urge all Lebanese parties to engage in dialogue to elect a president who satisfies the aspirations of the Lebanese, ensure the regular work of constitutional institutions and approve the reforms necessary to bring Lebanon out of its crisis.

The militia refused

We insist on stopping foreign interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries. And the total refusal to support the formation of armed groups and militias outside the framework of state institutions. We affirm that internal military conflicts will not lead to the victory of one party over another, but on the contrary will exacerbate the sufferings of the peoples, exacerbate the destruction of their achievements and impede the realization of the aspirations of the citizens of our countries.

Sustainable development

We affirm that sustainable development, security, stability and life in peace are inherent rights of the Arab citizen, and this can only be achieved through concerted and integrated efforts, firmly combating crime and corruption at all levels, and mobilizing energies and capacities to create a future based on creativity and innovation and keeping pace with various developments, in a way that serves and enhances security, stability and well-being citizens of our countries.

Consolidation of solidarity

We believe that visions and plans based on the investment of resources, opportunities and the resolution of challenges are capable of localizing development, activating available capacities and investing in technology in order to achieve industrial renaissance. comprehensive Arab agricultural system that integrates the capacities of our countries, which requires us to consolidate our solidarity and strengthen our interdependence and unity to achieve the ambitions and aspirations of our Arab peoples.

Don’t meddle in other people’s business

We express our commitment and our pride in our values ​​and our culture based on dialogue, tolerance and openness. Not to interfere in the affairs of others under any pretext, while insisting on our respect for the values ​​and cultures of others, and respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of States. Consider cultural diversity as enriching the values ​​of understanding and coexistence. We categorically reject the hegemony of one culture over another and its use as a pretext to interfere in the internal affairs of our Arab countries.

Preserving Arab Identity

We seek to strengthen the preservation of our culture and our authentic Arab identity among our sons and daughters, to dedicate their pride to our established values, customs and traditions, and to make every effort to enhance our cultural and intellectual heritage and spreading our ancient culture; To be a bridge to communicate with other cultures.

Appreciating the Saudi concern for the stability of the region

We appreciate the concern and interest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for all that would provide the appropriate conditions for achieving stability and economic growth in the region, especially with regard to sustainable development in its cultural dimensions, environmental, social and economic, and its work during the year of the Kingdom’s presidency of the Arab Summit (32) on a number of initiatives that would help advance joint Arab action in the cultural, economic, social and environmental, including: The initiative to teach Arabic to non-native speakers, which targets the second and third generation of Arab immigrants, in a way that helps to strengthen civilized communication between Arab countries and the world, and enhances and preserves ancient Arab civilization and culture. . The Culture and Green Future initiative, which aims to raise the level of commitment of the cultural sector in Arab countries towards the Sustainable Development Goals and to develop cultural policies related to sustainability, in addition to helping to support cultural practices environmentally friendly and using them to support the creative economy in Arab countries. The initiative for the sustainability of staple food supply chains for Arab countries, which is mainly based on a set of activities and the provision of investment opportunities with economic and financial feasibility that contribute to the achievement of food security for the countries of the Arab world, and the effective contribution to meeting the food needs of the Arab countries. A research and excellence initiative in the water desalination industry and its solutions, with the aim of stimulating scientific and applied research and innovation in the desalination water production and solutions industry water for interested and needy countries, and focusing on spreading and sharing knowledge and experiences and contributing to improving the economy of this industry to reduce costs and increase efficiency of operations and their environmental sustainability, and contribute to the issuance of specifications Benchmarking and institutional structuring of the water sectors to make it a strategic industry for Arab countries.

Intellectual Incubator Initiative

An initiative to create an intellectual incubator for research and studies on sustainability and economic development, which would embrace new directions and ideas in the field of sustainable development and highlight the importance of sustainable development initiatives in the Arab region to strengthen the joint and multilateral interest in research cooperation and the conclusion of strategic partnerships.
